About me

I am a freelance web designer who takes web development very seriously. Whilst it is something that nobody outwardly sees, your website is built from the inside out. I make sure that the code is neat, tidy and functional. This in turn gives you a website that performs better, works faster and will give your users an overall better experience. And just so you know, you OWN the code once the website is complete, (just in case you wondered). With low overheads, I can give you more value for your money when compared to most larger web design companies.

I Am A Creative Web Designer focused on growing your Charity, Not For Profit Organisation or Small Business online

Website Design

The most important task at this point is to get a clear understanding of your future website purpose. A website should stand out and broadcast your message, whether you are start-up business, running a charitable organisation, not for profit organisations or providing information. You also have a very short window of time to grab people's attention, so your website should have a solid design which draws people in.

Website Development

Website development is the process of taking a design visual and producing a fully functional standards compliance website from it. During the development phase, your website will take shape. All the visual content, such as images, photos, and video is created at this step. Your website will work well on Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Safari. Testing is probably the most routine part of a process. Every single link will be tested to make sure that there are no broken links among them.

Responsive design

The number of users accessing the web on smartphones and tablets is increasing rapidly. To make your website compatible with mobile devices, I will produce a "Responsive Design". (Responsive web design is an approach to web design that makes web pages render well on a variety of devices or screen sizes). At Fountain Web Design I believe it is important to keep your website and brand consistent. Regardless of the size of your website, it will be given a responsive design to make it cross device compatible.

Web Development Timeline

Planing Stage

Planning is essential for most businesses and organizations. In practice, many people fail to plan their websites. Sometimes the ever-busy, dynamic nature of running a business / organisation is to blame; there are so many operational demands that proper time is not allotted to projects. But this often happens because people fail to recognize that planning for the Web is just as important as planning for anything else in a business. Look into the websites of your competitors and other industry websites as well. They will not only inspire you but will also give you an idea as to what you should and shouldn’t include on your website.

Design Stage

Before I begin your website design, I will ask you to fill out a questionnaire. The idea is to get your vision and goals on paper and then I will start working to making it a reality. Planning is essential for putting together a website that will accomplish your goals. If you have existing branding, I can incorporate it into your new website design to ensure your branding is consistent wherever you have a presence.

Developing Stage

Once I have got a blueprint in place for developing your website, I can start to think about visual design and styling. By doing this, I'm making sure your site not only works well but looks great too. Once I have put some designs together, which I will send you a link to view a mock-up of your website. Which will allow you to see what your website will look like. It also makes it simpler for me to get your feedback and update the design to get exactly the look you require.

Final product

There are a large number of users accessing the web on smartphones and tablets now and there are a lot of websites still do not support mobile devices! I will make your website compatible with mobile devices, with a "responsive design" (A responsive design is one that alters its layout depending on the size of the screen it is being viewed on). Regardless of the size of your website, it can be given a responsive design to make it cross device compatible. All websites are built to a high standard using standards compliant code.
